3D Visualisation Ltd are enjoying an increase in workload within the residential sector so far this year, in particular the marketing of new housing developments. Our work within this area includes both CGI production and development drive through animations.
Our clients and projects are spread throughout the whole of the UK.
We are also enjoying our continued workload within student, retail, commercial and other sectors.

A very dramatic visualisation completed this month. We continue to test our software and 3d skills, with more to follow.

We have enjoyed a healthy start to 2013, and continue to enjoy working with both existing and new clients.

Many exciting projects have been secured and already we have been modelling and rendering numerous schemes, including Student Accommodation, Car Showrooms, Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Residential developments throughout the U.K.

After another succesful year at 3D Visualisation Ltd we would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope that the next 12 months are as fruitful as the last.

We’ve been developing & using augmented reality for about 2 years now and we’re just starting probably our most ambitious project to date. This is for a major mixed-use development and will involve members of the public being able to using their smartphones and tablet computers with augmented reality markers and QR codes to see what the new development will look like from wherever they are stood around the site.

We have also recently attended a talk by Sony as part of the Bradford animation festival showcasing their new ideas for augmented reality which were very impressive.

We have completed a set of interior visuals for a local Architect of a new Student Village. Visuals of kitchens, bedrooms and other spaces were required to present different colour schemes to the Client. We used a new lighting technique on the visuals which provides a more photo realistic result. We also used distributed rendering, a system that enables individual workstations to pull in the power of other computer slaves in the office therefore providing speed to render times, which when 15 plus images were required in just a few days became invaluable.

We not only produce photo realistic images and animations, but recently completed a set of daylight analysis visuals for a new housing development. Our 3d software allows us to position your site and building anywhere in the world and visualise the sunlight position at any time of the day and any time of the year. A very powwerful piece of armoury in our kit.

One of our clients supplied a Revit building model for us to link into our 3D workflow to test our systems and rendering power. The Revit model successfully linked into our workflow and we were able to quickly render a set of images from their building model using different lighting scenes and conditions. This will now be rolled out for our client at different stages of the design process and development.

We enjoyed producing a set of photo montages for a proposed development in Wimbledon, London for a property developer. The project included camera matching our 3d model with photographs from different locations to produce this set of accurate photo montages for marketing purposes. The image shows one of the original photographs and one of the finished visualisations.

We were commissioned to produce a package of visualisations to support a bid for a new construction contract, but only had one week until print deadline. The package included photo realistic internal and external cgi’s along with construction (BIM) visuals and a set of logistics / phasing visuals. We will publish the images in due course, once in the public domain.

We produced this 3d visualisation within a 24 hour period for an Architect client based on just the sketch shown. Our team’s Architectural knowledge is invaluable in providing such products for our clients. If you require a similar service please do call us to discuss.

We have just completed a set of 3d images for a new residential scheme in West Yorkshire. The scheme made for an interesting computer model due to severe site level issues. Always a good challenge for our team.

Whilst most people were celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee this weekend with street parties and other celebrations some members of 3D Visualisation were testing there fitness walking the 3 Peaks of Yorkshire. They managed it in a time of 10 hours 8 minutes and were pretty pleased with that but a few days of rest & recuperation were definately needed!!!

The ‘Green Village’ student accommodation at the University of Bradford is now complete and this image shows a photograph of the scheme along with a 3d image from our pre-construction animation. This demonstrates how true a reflection the completed development is to the early 3d model.

We have been commissioned to produce a set of 3d Valve models, as whole pieces and sliced sections. This made a nice distraction from Architecture for a couple of days. Back to Architecture next week.

A peek at a new residential development we have been working on this week

3D Visualisation enjoyed a day out of the office visiting our clients marketing suites to learn more about how our animations and images assist in the sales of new residential schemes around the Yorkshire area. It was an invaluable trip with lots to review and help us develop our services for the future.

After more than a decade of uncertainty, involving planning and legal challenges by local residents, this Easter weekend saw the unveiling of the show home at Derwenthorpe eco-village in Osbaldwick, York. 3D Visualisation Ltd were commissioned to produce sales images of the properties and a flythrough of the site highlighting the open spaces and the unique energy centre. 64 homes are almost ready to move into with the first residents collecting their keys next month.

3D Visualisation’s main software supplier has announced the release of the latest upgrade to their product range. Autodesk 3dsMax is an established package for 3d animation, modelling, visual effects, motion graphics and rendering and has been used in the creation of major Hollywood films including Avatar, 2012 and Iron Man to name just a few. We have produced an animation for the re-development of Hull City’s former football ground for Strata Homes. The new residential scheme will launch early 2012 and 234 homes will be built over a seven year period.
Strata hosted an onsite event in December 2011 to give Hull City supporters a final opportunity to visit the stadium and meet past players and say a final farewell to the Tiger’s former home.

One of the best examples of tilt shift video we have seen recently entitled ‘’The City of Samba’’ uses tilt shift photography to bring Rio to life, framing the city’s peculiar geography as a vast kinetic mix of miniature, toy like vehicles and any sized humans.

We’re pleased to have seen a credit card sized computer designed to help teach children to code go on sale this month. The ‘’Rasperry Pi’’ which runs the open source operating system Linux, can be hooked up to a typical computer monitor, with additional ports used to attach a keyboard, mouse and other peripherals. It is hoped it will increase the number of people getting interested in Computer Science.
